Gravel Biking in Sardinia
Pedal along the blinding-white sands of La Pelosa, with ancient watchtowers rising against a cobalt sea.
Climb winding mountain roads through wild cork-oak forests to reach the prehistoric nuraghe strongholds, perched over emerald valleys.
Ride the glamorous curves of the Costa Smeralda coast, then plunge inland into the silent lunar landscapes of the Barbagia highlands.
Sardinia is not just an island—it is a continent waiting to be discovered from the saddle. And cycling here means living an experience that goes far beyond sport: it is a journey through the senses, between crystal-clear seas and wild hinterlands, between ancient silences and winds scented with Mediterranean maquis. Imagine your tires embracing coastal white roads overlooking turquoise bays, climbs that open onto breathtaking views among the Nuragic ruins, and descents winding through centuries-old cork oak forests and stone villages where time seems to have stood still. Sardinia is an authentic and surprising land, winning over cyclists from all over the world with its unspoiled nature and warm, genuine hospitality. And after a day of pedaling, you will be rewarded with charming boutique hotels, farmhouses nestled among olive groves, and wineries where Cannonau flows like the nectar of the gods. Sipping a glass of red wine as the sun sets behind Mount Limbara, with the sea shimmering on the horizon—this is the true prize for those who love cycling and want to experience the most authentic Italy, the one you won't find in travel guides. Whether you choose our gravel bike for adventure or an e-bike to conquer every climb with ease, here every road is a poem to be pedaled.
Itinerary
1
Arrive among the glamorous harbours of Costa Smeralda. Salt breeze, granite peaks, and azure inlets welcome you. Bikes are assembled, legs are stretched, and the Mediterranean adventure begins right here.
2
A short but sharp opener along emerald coasts. Climb gently through macchia scrub, with sudden views over hidden coves. The 630 metres of elevation wake the legs perfectly.
3
Roll north past fishing villages and navy-blue bays. The route undulates between sea glimpses and inland granite. Porto Rotondo rewards with a chic espresso stop before the return.
4
Ride towards the famous Pelosa Beach, where white sand meets turquoise water. The climb up to the lighthouse offers a stunning panoramic reward over the entire Asinara Gulf.
5
Inland charm meets coastal glamour. San Pantaleo's artisan village sits among giant boulders. Steep ramps test your rhythm, but the descent back to the sea is pure joy.
6
Switch to gravel and explore wild eastern tracks. Dusty trails through olive groves and oak woods lead to remote beaches. A true off-road adventure with Sardinian soul.
7
The grand finale: tough climbs overlooking the Maddalena archipelago. Each switchback reveals deeper blue. Nine hundred metres of climbing, but every metre is unforgettable.
8
Your last chance to eat a nice Sardinian almond pastries on the road to the airport. Bye bye Costa Smeralda!

Bikes

There's no denying it, we're still in love with aluminum road bikes. And when it comes to transforming this passion into a labor of love, we make a bike like the Allez E5 Elite. It's constructed from our lightweight and ultra-stiff E5 Premium Aluminum to ensure that you get those most out of every watt that your legs can produce. More so, this construction makes for a bike that's equally capable for the road ahead, so you'll find it performing exceptionally on climbs, descents, and all-out sprints. Even better, these characteristics are all amplified by the Elite's exquisite & confident geometry and FACT carbon fiber fork.
